Booking Conditions

Effective for all bookings made on or after 1 May 2025.
These Booking Conditions outline our obligations to you and your commitments to us. By booking a tour with Just Wildlife Tours, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before making a reservation. Our goal is a smooth, enjoyable trip for everyone—and clear terms help us avoid misunderstandings.

Just Wildlife Tours — our philosophy

Our birdwatching and hide-photography tours are built on value, ethics, and local expertise. We draw on decades of field experience, research background, and deep knowledge of the Danube Delta, Dobrogea and the Carpathians. Real value comes from outstanding species diversity, peaceful and varied landscapes, professional guiding, reliable logistics, and warm Romanian hospitality.

If the tour is cancelled by Just Wildlife Tours for any reason, all payments you have made to us for that tour will be refunded in full.

Tour alterations

We reserve the right to alter the itinerary due to bird activity, weather, water levels, access constraints, hotel issues, or other operational reasons. If major changes are required pre-tour, you will be informed and may withdraw without penalty if you wish. If substantial changes occur during the tour, any additional costs are the responsibility of the participant.

Accommodation

We may need to substitute accommodations from those listed. Where possible we will use equivalent or higher standard lodging; where not possible, a partial refund may be issued after the tour.

Photos & media

We may take photos/video during our tours and use them for promotional purposes. By booking, you consent to this. If you do not wish your image to be used, please inform us in writing before the tour.

Travel insurance (mandatory)

Participants must arrange their own comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip interruption/cancellation, baggage, and activities described in the itinerary.

Group size

For fixed-date departures, the usual minimum group size is 4 and the maximum is 10 guests plus leader/local guides. If the last place is taken by a couple, the group may increase to 11. (Some specific tours may operate with a different minimum—see the tour page.)

Pace & physical effort

Our tours do not require strenuous fitness. However, you should be comfortable with easy walks (occasionally on uneven/wet terrain) and able to follow the daily schedule. An optional moderate hike may occur (e.g., Măcin Mountains). Please inform us of any health issues on your booking form.

Official start & end times

Please check the official start/end times on each tour page. Joining after the official start or leaving before the official end may require private transfers at your expense.

Breeding-site data & protection policy (internet/GPS)

We visit sensitive breeding areas of protected species. Disturbance is illegal and against our ethics. Our licensed guides hold the necessary permits (where required) and will brief you on conduct.
Publishing exact breeding locations online (GPS pins, maps, public platforms) is forbidden on our tours. If you keep online lists, you may place a generic location (nearest settlement) but not the nesting/breeding coordinates.
Revealing exact sites may harm wildlife and compromises company know-how (we invest significant time and resources to find and monitor sites and install/maintain nest boxes/hides). If a participant disregards written/oral warnings, we reserve the right to terminate the contract with immediate effect.

Final tour information

A downloadable bird list is available on our website. A printed checklist is provided for daily log calls. Pre-departure information (final details, meeting instructions, packing list) is sent a few weeks before departure.

Responsibility & liability

Just Wildlife Tours is responsible for operating the ground arrangements specified in our programme. We accept responsibility if services we are contractually obliged to provide prove deficient or not of a reasonable standard, and for loss/damage due to acts/omissions of our employees while acting within the scope of employment.
We do not accept liability for death, injury, damage, loss, accident, or irregularity caused by defects in any vehicle, or by acts/defaults of transport companies, hotels, or any person engaged in carrying out services, or otherwise in connection therewith. We reserve the right to alter land arrangements as needed.

We accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses arising from transport delays, flight changes/cancellations, sickness, quarantine, war, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, government intervention, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, weather, flood, force majeure, or similar events beyond our control. Any additional costs (extra flights, hotels, etc.) are the participant’s responsibility and must be paid at the time.

Complaints

Please notify the tour leader immediately of any problem so it can be addressed on the spot. If unresolved, please submit the complaint in writing preferably within 14 days of the tour end. In any case, we cannot accept liability for claims not notified within 30 days of the tour end.


Short-form summary (workshops & pre-registration offers)

  1. Price adjustments
    This is a pre-registration. We will promptly communicate any price adjustments resulting from operating-cost fluctuations. A yearly variation of about 5% is possible, especially for bookings made 12+ months in advance (e.g., fuel, electricity, ground services).
  2. Payment terms
    The full workshop cost must be paid via bank transfer, Stripe (card), PayPal, or cash (by prior agreement). Transaction fees are borne by the participant.
  3. Cancellation by organizer
    If we cancel the tour/workshop, all payments are refunded in full.
  4. Cancellation by participant
    If you cancel for personal reasons (not caused by the organizer), the deposit and any registration fees already paid are non-refundable and retained to cover administrative costs.
  5. Late cancellations
    If you cancel within 30 days prior to departure, the full balance remains due.

By registering, paying the deposit, and submitting your personal information, you confirm your agreement to clauses 1–5 above.
